A great shining light

Though Izzy still refuses to take the bottle, even when asked if she wishes to hold it herself, we have made some progress.

Pain management is going well. She sat up (with some support of course) and spent some quality time banging away on her guitar. She seemed to genuinely having a good time. Then following a tube dinner of formula, I showed her a jar of green beans. For the first time since before surgery, a smile passed her lips. It was short lived, but it lit the room and my heart together.

Ahhhhh....sounds like she is heading the right direction. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MCKENZIE!

Izzy is in my thoughts and prayers many times a day. Thank you both for the updates. Knowing Izzy since Sept. I enjoy you funny comments. It sounds so much like our Izzy. She has an amusing family. Bless all of you.
