No Better, No Worse

I stopped by the hospital to see Izzy today before heading into work. She is miserable and didn't look like my happy baby. She is in the ICU now and did not have to be vented. They do have her on a very high amount of oxygen, but it is working to keep her sats in her normal range (mid-80s). We hope it remains that way or improves. She is eating more at her feedings, so at least that is good. And the IV in her head did not need to be replaced after all. So, she is maintaining the level she had last night, which is better than getting worse. Our goal for today is for McKenzie to not have to work so hard to breathe. She is still working very hard. When she cried this morning, it was very weak, weaker than it has been since she was taken off the vent back in April.

Slow and steady wins the race! She'll get there.
You have a great attitude about everything. It's good that you can find all of the "positives".
Sending lots of positive energy your way.

Let the good be good. No more poking for a new IV and she is eating...Yippee!
Hang in there Izzy!
