Coming Home Soon . . . Hopefully

McKenzie is still in the ICU. While her viral infection is almost cleared up, she is still congested and her sats are still low. She has been off oxygen for most of the last 24-hours. Unfortunately, when she goes into deep REM sleep, her sats drop a lot. At one point yesterday, her sats went to 34 on me. That is crazy low and only happened once. During the night, her sats went to mid-50s when she was deep asleep. That is not good and the docs don't want to release her as long as she dips that low. That being said, they haven't talked to her cardiologist yet. She may be fine with it because McKenzie showed no distress when she was in the 50s (she did wake up crying and scared when she dropped to 34). It looks like tomorrow may be the day for her release. Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Hi Melonie, Thank you for sharing the web page and updates. My young daughter's and I pray for your precious McKenzie each evening with our bedtime prayers. They will love being able to see her photos. So happy to hear McKenzie is improving and able to return home. Do take great care and God bless all of you-
