| Isn't she beautiful?!? April 6, 2008. |
Nothing much is changing with McKenzie overall. She changes
constantly. That is part of the problem. They will get her medicine
set for her when she is awake, then she'll fall asleep and her
blood pressure, heart rate, and respiration change completely,
making them have to tweak her medicine again. Then she wakes up
again and they have to change the dosages. It looks like it will
continue in this manner for a while. They are telling us that she
has to grow before she will improve. Who knows how long she will be
in the hospital since they are waiting for her to grow. They don't
even know how big she will need to get to be able to be removed
from the ventilator, let alone to be released. We hope it will be
sooner rather than later for at least the ventilator. I truly
believe she will grow and thrive more once she can be held again
and that won't happen until she is off the ventilator and breathing
normal room air. The couple of days she was able to be held were
the days she was the healtiest.

There probably will not be more updates until something changes
and that does not look probable for some time. Nobody need worry if
there are no updates though. I will update the page if there is any
change, good or bad. Thank you all for your continued warm thoughts
and love. We all appreciate it.

AMAZING
I'm just amazed at all that your family has been through. Life is
so precious and your little one is definitely special, such a
fighter. I think all of you are special, may God bless you and keep
Mckenzie on tthe road to wellness. I believe the hard times we go
through help in strengthening us and the love we hold for one
another and that in itself is a blessing from God. Our thoughts and
prayers are with you all. Uncle John, Aunt Char & Girls

Welcome, McKenzie!
Hi Dale, Melonie and Phin,
Finally I was able to find this site! I didn't read the part about
not putting spaces in between the first, middle and last names.
Duh, me! At any rate, God bless you all, you truly are on a roller
coaster ride. McKenzie is a beautiful baby and the Mazeppa family
welcomes her with lots and lots of love.
After reading everything that you have all gone through in such a
short time, it is just amazing that you've kept up with this
message board and how nice it is to keep everyone informed in this
manner. Mel, you are amazing!
Our prayers are with McKenzie, of course but also with you. It's a
difficult time but you WILL get through it and things WILL get
better. When I was going through some low times a few months ago, I
heard a saying that meant a lot to me and I want to share it with
you all....it is "Let go and let God". Simple. Keep the faith, God
has you all in HIS hands as He always has.
Love to you all and continued prayers,
Aunt Char, Uncle John, Rachel and Andrea & Ronnie

Thank You!!
We are all so thankful that you are taking the time to keep us
updated on everything that is happening with McKenzie. It sounds
like time is what is needed now to let the process work and for
McKenzie to grow enough for the next steps to take place. We know
that you will let us know when something of note happens. Now is
the time to take care of yourself and your family. We will all be
here sending love and good thoughts to all of you until we hear
from you again.
Love, June, David and Kristen
