Well, McKenzie's GI doc thinks she may be allergic to dairy and
soy and put her on special extremely expensive formula, much like
other babies in the Graessle family. Hopefully, in time, this will
help her with her vomit issues, her bloody stools, and her feeding
issues. I say in time because the doc said it usually takes babies
3 days to get used to the "bad" taste of the formula. It is day 2
of the prevacid and she was already doing much better eating and
was going back to the 3 ounces. Now, we may have to go back to her
eating nothing. We just hope she doesn't lose too much weight
because we do not want to have to put the feeding tube back in. So,
keep your fingers crossed that little Izzy eats the new formula
with no problem, so she can start gaining weight again rather than
losing and she can stop vomitting.
