Happy

Well, the worst part of the cold is over and no sign of hospitalization needed! Izzy is still eating pretty well. Her sats are great! And she is very happy. In fact, she started holding her bottle for the first time yesterday. When she was done feeding herself, she strutted her stuff (well as much as she can strut without walking). She was so proud of herself! The best part of this week was that her two specialists were happy with her status. Her hypoparathyrodism is under control (right amount of calcium is being absorbed by her blood). And no G-tube! That's right, I said no G-tube!!! Dr. Gebara was very happy with her, even though she lost over a pound when she was in the hospital. She had gained weight since he lost saw her, was gaining weight back from when she lost it, and there is no longer internal bleeding nor any of the other problems that have plagued McKenzie. He actually said he was happy with McKenzie. That was a first. For the moment, besides a small cold, everything is going well.
