Rolling Right Along

McKenzie is officially rolling from her front to her back without help. When she is not too tired, as soon as she gets on her tummy, she rolls over. The more tired she gets, the more difficult it becomes for her, but she is doing it! This puts her about 3 to 3.5 months behind where Phin was, but that is okay. Every baby is different. She asserted her rights much sooner than Phin. She won't let us do things she doesn't want. If she doesn't want to roll over, she fights it. If she doesn't want to her medicine, she spits it out. She is a determined itty bitty girl.

Phin is learning what toys are appropriate now as well. Before, he would throw all of his toys on her because he wanted her to have fun. Now, he hands her her toys. Sometimes, he still gets too excited and tries to give her Thomas, but those instances are getting further and further between. He is such a good big brother (when he is not jealous). This morning, he played with Izzy for 1/2 an hour. She was in her pod (seat that supports her while sitting) and when she would throw a toy off and out of reach, he would bring her new ones. Hi Mel and Dale,
It's so good to hear such positive things about your family, we're delighted to hear how everyone is coming along. You've all been through so much...you're rolling with the punches and you're always in our thoughts and in our prayers for continued improvement and know that one day soon, it will all be a dream.
