We are all surviving. McKenzie is growing. She is over 10 pounds now. She still has the feeding tube in, but we manage to nipple her at almost every feeding. We only use the tube at midnight if she is sound asleep. She usually takes an ounce or so of her 3 ounce meal. It depends upon how sleepy and gaggy she feels. She is a gaggy baby and vomits a lot. It is not spit-up, but vomit. It makes her cry and shakes her entire body. We will hopefully be seeing a gastro-interologist this week to help her with that issue.

We see McKenzie's general surgeon on Monday to get a date for her next surgery to fix the problem with her bottom. I imagine it will be during July or August. She has to have that fixed before she can have her next open heart surgery, which will probably be sometime between November and May.

I will be returning to work in one week. McKenzie has been accepted at her day care and will be going with Phin. That will make it nice and convenient and we are not left with making incredibly hard decisions.

We continue to take each day as it comes and look forward to the time McKenzie can have her full fix surgery. Once she has that surgery, she should be like a regular kid again. She should be able to eat like normal because it won't be like she is running and eating at the same time. She will be able to stay awake longer and have more energy to do things other than survive.

What a little trooper!!
Glad to see Mckenzie is continuing to grow. It's great that she will be able to go to daycare with Phin. That must be a huge relief!! Hope the transition back to work will be smooth for all of you.
