Little Izzy's next surgery is Friday. She gets admitted to the
hospital sometime before 11:00 tomorrow. Who knows when because
they won't call me to let me know until tomorrow morning. Nothing
like the last minute! It will be interesting to see how she does
this time. She is most definitely a different kid than she was
before. Dale and I will need to be there more frequently because
she will need more comforting and attention. Luckily, this hospital
stay shouldn't be more than 6 days.
We don't believe she will be having her heart catheterization during this hospital stay. The cardiologist hasn't called us back yet to let us know when they want it done, so we couldn't make the appointment when Children's called. So that is one less thing to worry about right now. We can pretend like Izzy is a normal kid with a small problem to fix and that she doesn't suffer from life-threatening problems at least for this weekend.
We appreciate all of the warm thoughts people have been sending our way for the surgery. It helps to know people care about our baby. I will keep everyone updated on her status.
