Well, McKenzie was admitted to the hospital last night with what
they think may be pneumonia. She has had a cold for over a week and
started to get congested and coughing on Friday. Her lungs were
clear then, but she started to sound worse and worse. Yesterday, my
mom took her to see her primary care doctor, Stacy Richards. Doctor
Richards didn't like the sound of McKenzie's lungs, so she sent us
to Chilren's. Once there, an X-ray showed a black spot on one of
her lungs. The docs can't tell if it is actual pneumonia or just
gunk from the cold. All her labs came back negative and she is very
happy, except for the coughing, but they admitted her nonetheless.
She is once again staying on 4SW being monitored by the
cardiologists. I'm hoping she gets out today, but I'm not holding
my breath. They want her to eat more before they release her! Well,
I have to go relieve Dale so that he can go to work after having
spent the night with little Izzy.
