There's not much to say as far as an update even though it's been 10 months. We continue to live day-to-day. We've had wonderful moments and heart-breaking moments. We keep pushing through.
Izzy writes. She writes a lot.
Her pain persists, but is controlled for the most part as long as she stays in bed.
We stopped the hizentra, so Izzy's immune system has returned to its original form--very compromised.
Izzy remains mostly bed-bound, but she can write in her bed. "Have phone, will write," is Izzy's unofficial motto. She wakes each morning with ideas for new stories.
If she is not writing stories, Izzy is reading her stories to people or having them read her stories aloud to her. Izzy is always looking for new people to read to, so if you'd like to hear her stories, contact me and we'll set a time.
Izzy is tired. Very tired. We are all spent. Because of the sheer exhaustion of life, we could not send out holiday cards this year. We do think of you all, so please consider this a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Solstice Wishes, Lovely Kwanzaa, and Happy Holidays for whatever you may be celebrating this time of year and we wish you a new year filled with love. We hope to do the same.
