This is Eleven!

Izzy with Xavier (owl), Sabrina (fish cat), and Phinney Bear.

Izzy turned eleven last weekend. We started celebrating early. Izzy's present from Dale and I was redoing her bedroom. She went from pink and purple butterflies to blue with gold glitter and magic!

Because we redid Izzy's bedroom, we told her no birthday party this year.

The Saturday before Izzy's birthday, Phin gave Izzy his birthday present--a date! (Dale drove.)

Phin took Izzy shopping--Build-A-Bear, Disney Store, Claire's, and PF Changs!!! Izzy got to build a rainbow sprinkled bear that smells like cake and plays music. She also got a new pink owl--Xavier. She always loves Changs spicy chicken.

When Izzy came home, she was surprised!

If you are reading this through email, you should really click through to watch the embedded video of Izzy's surprise above. We had several dozen people at our house waiting for Izzy. She had always wanted a surprise party, so we gave her one!

Izzy had an amazing day and truly spoiled. She loved it all. Thank you to everyone who came.

The next day, was Izzy's actual birthday. She fairly miserable--pain, lethargy, swelling. Thankfully, we had planned on relaxing and watching "Little House on the Prairie" and did just that. Dale brought home Maggianos, so Izzy even got her birthday ziti. Izzy's cousins helped make the day extra special too (older cousins gave hugs and special attention and younger called to sing to her). Despite the pain, she had a good day (especially because a tooth that had been loose since December finally came out!).

First picture as an 11-year-old!

The rest of the week was hard. Izzy was very tired and had a lot more pain. (Of course, she had done a lot over the prior two weeks.) She spent a lot of time in bed.

Clearly, Lady spent a lot of time in Izzy's bed too! Lady got her first hair cut on Izzy's birthday.

Lady's new style.
Before and After! We used to call Lady Fluff Ball. Now, with her hair cut, she is super soft, so Izzy calls her Soft Ball!

Izzy is still really tired. In fact, she spent less than two hours visiting her aunt and uncle's new house today and has been in bed since. (Too much fun looking at all of the new places to discover.) She did forget to look for a door to Narnia at the new house, so she can't wait to go back even if the visit exhausted her.

Thanks for checking in on our 11-year-old girl!
