Surprise!

I mentioned in my last post that Izzy had some big surprises coming up. Now is time to reveal them :)

First, Izzy got her Christmas present early this year. And it is a big one! The best kind of gift--one that includes love and hugs that last and last.

Izzy got a puppy!

This is Lady. She is a cavapoo (also known as a cavoodle)--part cavalier king spaniel and poodle. She is tiny and sweet and has brought lots of smiles to our house. Lady is expected to stay small--around 12 pounds. She has only been with us two weeks, but she has fit in wonderfully.

When Izzy feels bad, Lady sleeps with her. Unfortunately, Izzy has been feeling bad a lot lately. She has good days and bad. It seems like she is having arrhythmias much more often. She turns blue a lot more frequently with her oxygen saturation dropping pretty low. She gets dizzy and feels like she going to fall down a lot. She sees the cardiologist in two weeks. I'll update then.

Having Lady has really made life interesting and fun. She is the best dog for Izzy!

We had another surprise for Izzy as well. Izzy had no idea this was coming, but at noon today, she had five princesses pay her a visit: Tiana, Belle, Moana, Elaina, and a Jedi Princess. Watch the video to see how surprised Izzy was to see this group arrive!!!

The princesses gave Izzy a princess cookbook. They baked a cake with Izzy. Belle read a story to Izzy. They made crafts. Izzy had such an amazing day. Phin had fun too!

The princesses were here for about 3 hours. Izzy had so much fun. They even called her Queen Izzy all day (because she is our queen). She was exhausted after and in pain, but so worth it. She'll tell you about it in her video below.

Can you believe that?!? Izzy said today was better than meeting Taylor Swift!!!!!!

Now, we're watching "Moana" and resting as Izzy is exhausted, but it was definitely the best day ever!!!!!! Best part is that the princesses told Izzy they'd love to see her again at Izzy's Ice Cream Social or the Walk. Izzy can't wait to see them again.
