I Don't Know

It has been a busy week and a half. Unfortunately, we still have no answers regarding Izzy's new stomach pains. The new med (Hyosene) may be working, but not all of the time. Izzy's hasn't missed school for pain though because distraction is always key with Izzy.

Last Thursday, Izzy had the ultrasound ordered by the GI. It found nothing remarkable, which means we have no way forward. Izzy's GI doc is out of town, so (once again) we are left waiting. Izzy was awfully cute eating chocolate strawberries after her ultrasound though.

Later that same day, Izzy and I got to attend a Mother-Daughter banquet for the Girl Scouts. Izzy had to dress like the queen that she is!

Over the weekend, Izzy got to dress as a queen again for a party.

On Sunday, we participated in the global event: 22q at the Zoo! People from across the globe went to their zoos to spread awareness of 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. Personally, I think my girl was the cutest 22q-t there is! (I am WAY biased though.)

The event was hard on Izzy though and her pain returned.

Monday night, Izzy bridged from Daisies to Brownies!

She was just a tab bit excited.

This morning, Izzy was in a lot of pain. It radiated from her belly all the way up her chest. She was in misery. Thankfully, with a little time and a lot of distraction, she was able to make it through school. Hopefully, Dr. G will be back soon so we can find out the next steps and find an end to this pain.

PS
Sigh. Within 30 minutes of posting this, Izzy cried out in bed, unable to sleep because of stomach pain. I know this doesn't seem as bad or scary as heart failure, but it makes Izzy's days so hard. She lives with so much pain, yet she smiles. It breaks our hearts. I kissed Izzy's belly to try and make the pain go away and she simply smiled and said "Mommy, kisses can't make my pain go away." BUT THEY SHOULD!

Love all the pictures of everyone...such a beautiful little queen! Love the Mother/daughter banquet picture! So proud of Izzy bridging from Daisies to Brownies! It looks like she "rocked it" during the ceremony and enjoyed herself!! Great family picture from the zoo! Phin is growing and is such a handsome young man! Hope they can figure out the stomach pain and if we could kiss it all away we sure would do it!

Sweet Queen Izzy, we sure are in hopes and praying that they can find something to help with your belly pains. YAY to Izzy for crossing the bridge and becoming a Brownie! Mel, don't ever feel you need to explain your pain vs someone else's pain. Pain, hurt, surgery, bad dreams, a bruised knee, they are all the same to us mommies! :) When our kiddos are hurt in any way, shape or form, it hurts us to our core. Always keeping you all close in our hearts and in our prayers. Hang in there. Big hugs from up North. :)

Sigh. I'm so sorry there's no relief in sight for Izzy's stomach pain. It's stupid and unfair, especially when it's happening to the world's cutest Brownie princess. Hang in there, Izzy (and Mom and Dad).
